‘There’s A Huge Gap Between Sarkodie & Other Ghanaian Rappers’- Hammer

Legendary Ghanaian producer, Hammer has reacted to DJ Black’s famous ‘top 50 Gh emcees’ released last week and also talked about Sarkodie’s influence in the music industry in a new interview.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning show this morning, Hammer said the list DJ Black compiled reflects his (DJ Black) opinion, therefore there’s nothing anybody can do about it.
‘For that list by DJ Black, it’s his own opinion. If we want to do a list of favourite rappers, then we have to form a committee.’
“For me, I am a rapper myself so that’s why I know what rap is about. Every rap producer should know how to rap to be able to understand these rappers.
He then shifted the focus on Sarkodie:
‘For Sarkodie, I won’t mention his name at all because he has passed this stage. Among his generation, Sarkodie has done soo well, huge gap among his mates. He should be a plaque on the wall.’
Hammer of The Last Two is a record producer in the Ghanaian music industry. He is the founder and CEO of The Last Two Music Group and is also known for grooming some of the best Ghanaian Hip Hop or Hiplife artists, including Obrafour, Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem, and others.
