Former Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has shared his
thoughts on the cause of club’s poor performance in the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana
Premier League season.
According
to him the current crop of players lack the needed experience which he thinks
affects the performance of the team.
The
bulky attacker’s comments comes after the club’s appalling start to the ongoing
Ghana Premier League season which has seen them suffer two defeats in a row.
Hearts
lost 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea at home in their opening game and suffered an
embarrassing 0-3 away defeat to Medeama SC subsequently.
The
club is currently without a substantive head coach after sacking Kim Grant
following their opening day defeat, with Coach Edward Nii Odoom holding the
fort now as the interim manager of the club..
In
an exclusive interview with Vision FM, Fiamenyo opined that, “ I watched Hearts
of Oak game against Berekum Chelsea and I think they need experience players
because from defence to attack I saw little problems in their set up.”
Hearts
of Oak will host Ebusua Dwarfs in the match day three of the Ghana Premier
League on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
