Former Ghana international Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has hanged his
boots to take up the microphone in a quest to become a rap star.
From
reports gathered, the decision has been a long time coming – the 33-year-old
has been recording tracks for years now, albeit in disguise.
Owusu-Abeyie
known for his explosive speed and trickery had a short lived stint with the
Black Stars, and featured during the AFCON 2008 tournament.
He
is a former Arsenal player having left the Gunners after only 5 games in 2006.
In
his rap career, he goes by the name ‘Blow’ and has used a
disguise when sharing photos and videos on social media, wearing a balaclava
and big sunglasses.
It now looks like he is ready to blow his cover after releasing
a solo mix tape.
On
the cover of the EP titled ‘New Chapter’ is
Abeyie, or Blow if you prefer, seated with an Arsenal shirt hung up with
“Quincy 54” on the back.
