Another drama shrouded a local game this week when the football meant for
the game between BA United and Bofoakwa in the MTN FA Cup was wrapped in a
polythene bag.
Now don’t ask me why the ball ended
up in the nylon bag and placed at the centre of the field- if you know how juju
abounds in our local league despite the advancement chalked elsewhere in
association football, you’ll understand it all.
Sports journalist, Saddick Adams
shared the story on Twitter, sparking varied responses from soccer fans who
once again reclined to bewilderment after Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars
equally came up with their own superstitious melodrama last week.
Saddick Adams revealed that the
referees did not want to touch the ball and instructed the locals to remove it
from the bag before kickoff could be effected.
