The family of the late Bishop Bernard Nyanko
has said that in order to attend the one-week celebration, it is compulsory for
mourners to wear a nose mask before they can visit the family.
Minister of Health, Mr. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu has said that nose
mask-wearing and social distancing are compulsory.
Revealing to the public by the family of the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko, they promised to adhere to the directives during the one week celebration.
“One must wear a nose mask before coming to visit the family and
police will be around to ensure social distancing”, they said.
They, however, noted that due to the
restrictions on the public gathering by the President, the one-week observation is
strictly by invitation and not open to the general public.
The family stated that for people who may want to pay their respect or help Bernard Nyarko’s family they may be allowed inside the house but would not be entertained for long.
According to the family, the private one-week observation will take
place today Saturday, May 9 at Lake Side – Ashaley Botwe near the Police
Station and Pakoso – Asokore Mampong in Kumasi.
