An accident case that occurred between a passenger car and Tanker
containing fuel has been reported to be fatal causing the death of some
passengers at Osamkrom, located in the Gomoa Central District.
This sad incident happened at the prison’s junction in Osamkrom,
where gas tanker which was heading towards Swedru to unload gas, fell on the
passenger car, directed towards Winneaba from Swedru, that accidentally landed
in a ditch.
This was terrible as the Gas Tanker landed over the passenger car
in the same ditch which made it difficult for the victims trapped in the ditch
to be removed on time, extending it to about four hours period in attempting to
save the casualties.
According to Benjamin Kojo Oto, ” Gomoa Central’s District Chief Executive, some passengers lost their lives in the accident whereas others got severely injured. He further indicated that both the survivors and the perished victims were taken to the hospital for treatment and preservation of dead bodies in the mortuary.
The Ghana National Fire Service explained that the total number of
individuals involved in the accidents with total death and surviving figures
are yet to be revealed.

avoid accidents in this rainy season.
