The novel coronavirus pandemic has affected many institutions across the globe. Last month, Multimedia laid off some workers, and others also left themselves. Available information to Globaltipsgh.com, Media General Group, a subsidiary of TV3 has cut down its employees in their retrenchment exercise.
Four workers have been affected by the exercise as they lose their job and more are expected in the coming days. The affected staff includes an online person, a sports team member at Onua Fm, and two others.
The reason of their lay off is unknown yet but speculations
indicates that it could be their agenda to reduce cost in view of the effects
of Coronavirus.
In October 2018, about 24 staff were fired during their retrenchment exercise by the company as they received a two-month salary as their notice in accordance with the law.
