Popular Ghanaian vixen and social media personality, Andrea Owusu, well known as Efia Odo has revealed how her parents scolded her when she lost her virginity.
Discussing sensitive sexual matters
with children is something that is not common in most African homes. Some
African parents believe that talking a child’s sexuality will only make them
curious and eager to practice it which sometimes leads to teenage pregnancies
and other problems.
Actress Lydia Forson took to her Twitter to find out how many Ghanaians have had the opportunity to discuss sexuality with their parents at home.
She quizzed;“How
many of you had your parents sit you down and have the sex talk with you?”
Reacting to the tweet, Efia Odo revealed that she only had the opportunity to talk about sex with her parents only when she lost her virginity.
“Had
the talk after I broke my virginity. It wasn’t even a talk… it was a whole
bunch of insults”, she said.
