The driver of Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah “Ghanaian politician and
the Member of Parliament of Tema West constituency” is alleged to have been
infected with the novel coronavirus after his boss also tested positive for
coronavirus.
This was revealed amid the resignation controversies of Carlos
Kingsley Ahenkorah following public criticisms and reactions to his decision to
interact with some Ghanaian Citizens to monitor the progress of Voters’ ID
registration despite knowing he had Covid-19.
He went on a tour to conduct supervision during the registration
on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, which put people he interacted with at risk of
contracting the disease since he is positive.
According to him, he was very cautious in his actions towards
people because he knew his conditions to lower people’s risk of getting
infected.
“I am asymptomatic but my driver has also been tested for Covid-19
and it’s positive. He just drove me to the centre, he didn’t get out of the car
with me,”
Mr
Ahenkorah explained
