A Nigerian pastor has caused a stir on social media after photos of him holding a burial service for the George Floyd.
It
was gathered that this new burial took place in Mbaise, Imo state, and was
celebrated like any normal burial.
In photos that have made the rounds on social media from the ceremony, a poster could be seen where Floyd was given a Nigerian name, Obinna. Pallbearers were also seen dressed in black suits as they carried a casket.
A
pastor was also seen in the photos as well as mourners dressed in black
outfits.
According to Leadership, Pastor Humble
Okoro said that he decided to hold another burial ceremony for George Floyd so
that he could rest alongside his ancestors.
Okoro said that he had traced Floyd’s ancestral roots to Umuoffor kindred in Obokwu Obibi Aboh, Mbaise, Imo state.
