“Akufo Addo Deserves A Second Term” – Wendy Shay Gives Full Support

Wendy Opoku Addo better known in the showbiz industry as Wendy Shay has applauded Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on the good works he has done since he assumed power in 2017 most especially on education and the creative arts sector.

Speaking on Empire FM’s ‘Showbiz Today’, the Ruff Town Records signee heaped praises on Nana Addo and also added that she’s very impressed with his performance so far as the head of state.

“The NPP has done a lot of good work and are still doing more in the creative arts industry. If you look at some of the things they have done, even not just the creative arts industry, for example Free SHS, a lot of people have benefitted from the policy”

The self-styled queen of Ghana muisc further indicated the positive impact Nana Addo’s free SHS policy has had on her cousins and other less privileged children.

“I have cousins, junior siblings in the country and they have all been beneficiaries of the Free SHS policy. So Nana Addo has done very well”

Going forward, Wendy Shay pleaded with Akufo Addo to ease the ban on socail gatherings with the notion that musicians are going bankrupt because they have lost a lot of gigs due to the ban.

The “Uber driver” composer also entreated the government to provide people in the creative sector with some some stimulus package to help them cover up for some losses the industry’s key players have made as a result of the COVID-19.

“…Nana Addo has done a lot for the creative arts industry. However, what I am expecting from him is that as a result of COVID, many of us have made losses. So I am hoping the President will pay a courtesy call to us and provide us with some financial assistance to cover up for the loss due to the fact that we couldn’t hold concerts…”
