Ghanaian gospel singer Celestine Donkor has found fault with the Ghanaian UK based preacher Sonnie Badu for congratulating Kuami Eugene after winning ‘artiste of the year’ during this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

award -Kuami Eugene and not doing the same for the gospel artiste of the year
winner, Celestine Donkor descended heavily on him.
Speaking in an interview on TV3’s Simply Showbiz show, the female musician described Sonnie Badu’s act as discriminatory and attention-seeking. She stressed that it would have been appropriate and nice if he also congratulated the gospel musicians who won.
Meanwhile,
gospel singer MOG Music who was also on the show had a view different from
Celestine Donkor. The reigning Male Vocalist of the year had no issue with the
UK based preacher not congratulating gospel artistes.
OB Nartey condemned Sonnie Badu by stating that he should stop the fame attachment because there are lots of upcoming gospel artistes who follow him and need his push but he ignores them and keeps reacting to issues regarding secular musicians for fame.
