Edinson Cavani is well in line to make his Man United debut against former club Paris Saint-Germain. Cavani completed a free transfer to United on transfer deadline day after weeks of speculation.

Edinson Cavani was initially unable to train with his new Man United as he had to self-isolate for 14 days in line with UK's coronavirus protocols.

The development means Cavani could be drafted in the squad that will travel to Paris to take on PSG on Tuesday, October 20, in the Champions League.

Speaking on the potential of facing his former side, Cavani admitted he was delighted at the prospect, saying he will feel "beautiful emotions. He told SunSport:

"I am going to experience an exceptional moment, that nobody thought would happen. It will be an incredible thing, beautiful emotions."

It was reported that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Nigerian star Odion Ighalo is an important member of the club.

The 47-year-old said this after naming the former Super Eagles striker in the Red Devils squad ahead of their Champions League encounter against Paris Saint Germain.

With his current deal with the Red Devils set to expire in January, the 31-year-old has made just three appearances without a goal across competitions for the Old Trafford outfit.
