A mobile money vendor has been shot dead by armed robbers at Awutu Adawukwa near Bawjiase in the Central Region.
The unfortunate incident is presumed to have been committed by seven robbers. The deceased is identified as Atsu who lost his life in line of duty as a mobile money vendor.
According to an eyewitness, Baah Isaac, one of the armed robbers disguised himself and went to Atsu to assist him to find their way. He stated that as Atsu was showing them the direction to Amasaman, one robber pointed a gun at him asking for his sales money.
The report says the mobile money vendor refused to hand over the money to them which led to his death.
The eyewitness stated that three initial warning shots were made before they shot Atsu in his chest and stomach.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Bawjiase Police station for further investigations.
