Ghanaian Singer Eugene Kwame Marfo popular in the music industry
as Kuame Eugne has explicitly said he is ready to do a campaign song
for President Akufo-Addo but only if the president requests him to do.
Speaking in an
interview with Cape Cast Kastle Fm, the ‘Angela’ hitmaker said he will not
intentionally involve himself in politics but, he will do a campaign song for
the president only if Nana Akufo-Addo asks him to do for the New Patriotic
Party (NPP).
In response to
the question of Kastle Fm Amansan Krakye on whether he is recording, or has
recorded a campaign song for the president, Kuame Eugene answered “
No, I won’t drop
any campaign song for Nana Akufo-Addo. I’m concentrating on my job for now so
Nana Addo should also work hard for the upcoming election.
“I believe
everyone should be in their lane so I don’t feel I must leave what I’m doing to
join what someone else is doing.”
Like every
election year, lots of musicians do campaign songs for political parties.
Hopefully, this year’s will not be an exception as we approach the polls on
December 7.
