Confusion Hits NPP West Wuogon

 

 



The Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Region, Madam Lydia Alhassan on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 done the unthinkable which has created confusión and tension in the Constituency

To the surprise of many, Madam Alhassan gave the Municipal Chief Executive for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Municipal Assembly, Madam Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah a marching orders to leave a well-organized programme in the Deputy Attorney General, Mr Godfrey Yeboah Odame has brought items to be given to members to aid the electoral fortunes of the NPP in the constituency.

This embarrassment meted out to the MCE brought the programme to a halt as members sharply divided and started to attack each other.

The MP is allegedly fingered for bringing cracks and disunity in the party ever since she was given the opportunity to lead the constituency.

Some Constituency Executives who spoke to Daily Analyst on condition of strict anonymous for the fear of attacks and intimidation said the attitude of their candidate is giving the National Democratic Congress (NDC) the opportunity to snatch the seat from them in the December 7, 2020 elections if care is not taken to address the issue.

They averred that there are deep cracks within the party now which is as a result of their parliamentary candidate.

They, therefore, called on the National Executives to come and settle all differences before the polls else the NDC will snatch the seat from them.

BACKGROUND


The Deputy Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Odame and his team have supported the Member Of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Madam Lydia Alhassan with some incentives meant to aid her as she embarks on campaigns.

With about few days to go into the election, every political party is embarking on campaign tours with the sole aim to winning power in the December polls.

The Deputy Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Odame has donated 5 motorbikes and a number of sewing machines to the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Madam Lydia Alhassan to help her in her campaign tour in the constituency.

According to him, this aid is to ensure that the NPP retains its parliamentary seat in the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, Daily Analyst has gathered that some supporters of the NPP in the area are currently advocating for skirts and browse voting ahead of the polls to teach the MP a bitter lesson for disrespecting the members and supporters of the party.
