Globaltipsgh.com has
established that Minister of Education Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has revealed
when teachers professional development allowance will be paid.
Dr. Matthew
Opoku Prempeh announced this in an interview with host Kwame Sefa Kayi on the
Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show Friday, October 30, 2020.
“The regions
are compiling the data of the teachers, by November this year all teachers will
be paid their Professional Development allowance, it will be added to their
November salary”, NAPO told host Kwame Sefa Kayi.
The Member of
Parliament for the Manhyia South Constituency indicated that professionalteachers in November would receive an amount of GH₵ 1,200.00 and Non-professionalteachers GH₵ 800.00respectively.
The Education Minister
said this forms part of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by
President Nana Akufo-Addo efforts to support teachers in the country to improve
their standards of living.
According to Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the much-awaited Professional
Development allowance for the year 2020 will be added to all professional
validated teachers November salary arrears at the end of next month.
