Recently, the Electoral Commission of Ghana Boss, Madam Jean
Mensah announced that some anonymous thieves has invaded and intruded the EC's
Office in Afigya South in the Ashanti Region to steal some vital equipment and
documents that contain some history and backup of the voter compilation as
they stole; 41-Inch TV, 2 Laptops which contains history and about 10
projectors.
After a further investigation, the CID has been able to fish
out two Prime suspects who works within the EC named Eric Oteng Asamoah and
Samuel Nti are the main suspects behind the scenes.
Many opposition members has reacted negatively towards the
New Voters Register due to the ongoing pandemic, this has made the aggressive
and furious over the New Voters Register to be called off, but the EC Boss,
Jean Mensah is still on her decision to initiate it.
So many think that the suspected
thieves who broke into the EC’s were hired or they are not into agreement for
the New Voters Register, that’s the main reasons why they did such an
unpleasant act.
Currently, the two suspects are
in the Police Custody as interrogation and investigation are ongoing
respectively.
