Globaltipsgh.com has established that the Finance Ministry has given approval for the payment of teachers’ legacy and all other arrears due to them.
The first batch of teachers who were qualified to receive their arrears was processed and payments were made.
The second batch however delayed in receiving their own. Many thought the issue of legacy arrears was over and threatened to vote against the party of nothing is done about it.
This was communicated through a press release this morning and GES has authorized the payment of all outstanding legacy arrears to all the affected staff of the Service.
The government has released a total of GH¢100m for the payment of the arrears. Finally, teachers have been treated with the respect they deserve and they will finally smile.
