Kwame Baffoe,
the regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party of Bono, asked an unidentified
appointee under the administration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to publicize
the huge amounts of money looted from the state.
According to him, it is a shame
that the person he says is a cabinet minister who is well-resourced and has all
the privileges in the nation to circulate their one-motorcycle donations only
so that the President of Ghana can find favor.
He said that even with him, who never benefited from
the Akufo-Addo administration, in his second term campaign, he was able to
donate cars to support the President while appointees who benefited could not
support them with all the resources available.
“While speaking on Wontumi TV, he said, “If you’re a government minister and you buy a motorbike and you start circulating it on Facebook and WhatsApp when it’s time for appointments, then it’s troubling because I even bought cars for people who didn’t benefit from the first term of the NPP and I didn’t publicize it.
You buying a motorbike, and asking the
President to give you a post for that? Why don’t you just circulate the cash
you robbed on Facebook and Whatsapp as well?
