The National Democratic Congress flipped the Sene West
Parliamentary results today in their favor.
The court
hearing over the snatched ballot box happened today at the Wenchi High
Court.
Injunction application
filed by the NPP candidate Joseph Mackay was thrashed out and was slapped with
GH¢14,000 fine.
The court then
gave the EC two options, either count the snatched ballot box or organize a new
election.
The EC opted to count the
snatched ballot with Aseidu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquitos acting
as the NDC agent.
After the count NDC candidate
Kwame Twumasi Ampofo had 275 to NPP’s 148.
This was enough for the NDC to
flip the total ballot in the entire constituency to 13,116 against 13,100
gained by the NPP.
After the victory the NDC
executives in the Bono East region meet for refreshments as they continued to
work towards their next action.
