A Twitter user named @Th3FOREVA
has cried out saying that her friend was assaulted by policemen attached to the
Ekpan Police Station, Effurun, Delta State.
According to her, the police officer had stopped the
keke- Tricycle that her friend was had boarded on her way home, the policemen
were searching them when they got into a heated argument and her friend tried
explaining to them but they beat her up.
@Th3FOREVA also shared videos and a picture which
captures the security of the injury. From the picture, it shows that her nose
is broken and she will need medical attention.
She tweeted;
“A lady has been assaulted by the EKPAN police station officers.
She was inside Keke going home by past 7 police stopped them but they didn’t
know it was police when they eventually stopped the police started yelling at
them that they want to search them,
“during the course of searching them the police men started
shouting that why didn’t they stop as my friend tried to explain they started
beating her up”
She further revealed that the policemen have been
identified and they would be taken to Abuja soon.
She wrote;
“Guys, the officers involved have been identified and to be taken
to Abuja for I hope their punishment. They gave her stipend of N30,000
for medicals. Will keep you all updated.”
