Mr. Augustine Owusu Addo, Sarkodie’s dad has detailed some untold stories about his son; why he chose the name Michael, his favorite song from him and his prayer requests about his son in the next years ahead.
Africa’s most
decorated rapper, Michael Owusu Addo widely called Sarkodie in the showbiz
attended his 2020 rapperholic concert with his father, Mr. Augustine Owusu
Addo.
In a short
interview with Max24 TV at 2020 Rapperholic 2020 concert which was held at the
Accra International Conference Centre, Mr. Augustine Owusu Addo has shared more
information relating to Sarkodie’s musical career.
On why he named the superstar Michael, Mr. Augustine Owusu
Addo stated that he was a very big fan of Michael Jackson and hence he named
Sarkodie Michael. Explaining in details, Mr. revealed he never dreamt his son
would be Africa’s biggest rapper and when he started rapping Sarkodie only told
him music or rapper was his hobby.
Giving his view on the turn-up of his son’s Rapperholic
concert, Mr. Augustine Owusu Addo revealed he wasn’t surprised Sarkodie nailed
it once again and went further to tell that his son has been doing it for the
last 8 years.
When Mr. Augustine was asked to tell whether he has a
favorite song from his son, he mentioned “Brighter Day”, Sarkodie’s song he
featured Obrafour on as his best song from his proud son.
