The Parliament of Ghana has announced a break over the rise of
COVID-19 cases in the house.
The Speaker of
Parliament, Alban Bagbin has announced that the house will go on a 3 weeks
break.
This decision was triggered by the rise in COVID-19 cases in the Parliament House.
COVID-19 cases in the house has moved from 71 to 175. Breaking it down, the cases amongst MPs moved from 15 to 18 and that of the staff of the house jumped from 56 to 157.
According to the Speaker after the 3 weeks break, everyone will undergo test before Vetting of the newly appointed Ministers will begin.
