According to
preliminary information obtained by us, some Ashawos in the Ashanti Region,
especially in Kumasi and Bantama, have raised their prices.
According to the
information, the demand for Ashawos has increased in Kumasi and Bantanma,
resulting in a price increase.
The Ashawos used
to charge GHc45 per night, according to an informant (Maa Akoto Fordjour) who
checked the story. These sex workers are now charging GHc60 a night as a result
of the increase.
