Chelsea interested in Odegaard, Muller open
to Bayern exit, Inter ready to sell Lukaku and Kane wants medals in Chelsea
roundup.
Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard has emerged as a transfer
target for Chelsea, stunning reports have claimed from Spain.
After Arsenal managed to convince Real Madrid to let Odehaard make
the move to the Emirates on a loan deal until the end of the season, the
talented midfielder has made a big impression on that Gunners squad.
Many fans want him to stay, many legends have come out and
urged the board to get a deal done and even Mikel Arteta has hinted that he
would love the Arsenal board to get a permanent transfer deal done for Odegaard.
WHAT IS THE LATEST?
According to AS, Chelsea have now entered the chase to try
and get Odegaard all signed up in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel may need an immediate
replacement for Jorginho, who has been linked with a move away from the club
this coming summer, and he has reportedly been very impressed by how easily Odegaard
has adapted to the Premier League.
However, there are not the only side that are reportedly
interested in the player as Liverpool have reportedly also entered the chase to
get a deal done.
But while the Gunners want to extend that stay, they have no
purchase option.
Thomas Muller has admitted that he is open to following
Thiago Alcantara’s path out of Allianz Arena, insisting he is “not fixed” to
Bayern Munich.
Muller has appeared in 571 games across all competitions for
Bayern, scoring 212 goals and laying on 210 assists. The experienced frontman
has picked up 27 major trophies, including nine Bundesliga titles and two
Champions League crowns.
The 31-year-old remains a key member of the squad, but he is refusing to rule out a transfer in the near future – citing Thiago’s 2020 move to Liverpool as proof that no one is bound to the club unconditionally.
WHAT HAS MULLER SAID?
“I’m not fixed to this club,” the Bayern forward told The Times.
“I have a special relationship, I love Bayern before I started playing for
them, but when there is a situation where you have to decide maybe to play for
a different club it would be no shame and no problem at all.
“Maybe like with Thiago [Alcantara, now at Liverpool].”
CONCLUSION
Although there is no need for Chelsea to make a move and try to
acquire the services of Muller in the summer, Thomas Tuchel will make a move
for the player should he feel that the Bayern star will add to his squad next
season.
There is no doubt that Tuchel is lacking a proven goal-scorer in
his attack, and although Muller is not the same player he was just a few
seasons ago, he is still regarded as one of the most deadly strikers in world
football.
And for the right money, he may actually be a decent signing for
the club.
Prolific Romelu Lukaku could be up for grabs
this summer as Inter Milan look to balance their books, with reports that Chelsea
are ready to bring him back to the Bridge.
Despite going unbeaten since taking over the club a few months
ago, Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to improve certain areas of the
pitch in the coming transfer window to turn this Chelsea side into Premier
League winners.
And with the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier
Giroud all failing to impress in front of goal this season, It is pretty clear
that the German coach wants to add a premium striker to the attack.
WHAT IS THE LATEST?
Lukaku, 27, has been a massive hit in Italy, scoring 42 times in
62 league games for Inter, who are currently on course to secure their first
Serie A title since 2010.
And his record on the international stage is equally impressive.
His penalty in Belgium’s 3-1 victory over Wales in midweek made it 58 goals in
90 appearances for FIFA’s top-ranked country.
As with the whole of the football world, the COVID-19 outbreak has
hit the Italian club’s finances hard, and with the Italian giants reportedly
ready to balance the books in the summer, they would be open to the idea of
letting Lukaku leave.
Manchester United and Chelsea target
Harry Kane must leave Tottenham to win major titles, according to Jermain
Defoe.
There is no doubt that Harry Kane is one of the very best
and most dangerous strikers in world football right now, so despite the
troubles that Tottenham have had this season, he will still break that 30-goal
mark by the end of the year.
But there has been alot of talk in the media about where he
could end up in the coming transfer windows, with the likes of Chelsea,
Manchester United and Manchester City the three Premier League clubs that are
keen on trying to secure a deal.
WHAT HAS DEFOE TOLD KANE?
“You have to win and bring silverware, otherwise it’s not good
enough,” the former Tottenham frontman, who is currently playing in Scotland
with Rangers, told talkSPORT.
“When you actually achieve that and the feeling you get from that,
wow man. I wish I had that earlier on in my career.
“If Harry Kane wants that and wants to win trophies then it looks
like he has to go.
“I don’t think it will be easy for him to leave and he might be
looking at it and want to finish off being the highest goalscorer in the club’s
history and see where that takes him.
“He can hopefully win a few trophies, but if he’s really craving
medals then he really has to go.”
CONCLUSION
Kane will stay loyal to Tottenham until after the European
Championships, but it will be interesting to see where he ends up in the
transfer window as he will add 30-40 goals to the club that he potentially
joins
