Hearts of Oak Communications Director,
Kwame Opare Addo, says the club will make more signings to strengthen the squad
ahead of the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Hearts of Oak are still in contention for the title this
season and have signed Eleven Wonders star Ibrahim Salifu and Caleb Amankwah
from Aduana Stars in the ongoing transfer window.
According to Kwame Opare Addo, the signing of former Aduana
Stars defender Caleb Amankwah was based on the recommendation of coach Samuel
Boadu.
Speaking in an interview on the latest addition to the
Phobia squad and what the fans should expect, Opare Addo said, “It was the
recommendation from the coach for us to get Caleb Amankwah.
“We know he is a very good player and after days of
negotiations we were able to seal the deal. Once everything is done he will
join the team next week”.
“Between now and the end of the transfer window our fans
should keep their fingers crossed”.
“We are making sure in the second round the fans will
witness a change in the team”, he added.
Hearts of Oak are reported to have contacted King Faisal for
their star player Kwame Peprah who is the leading top scorer for the club with
nine goals.
Hearts, Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko are in a race to sign
the talented forward.
The Phobians finished third on the league table with 27
points behind league leaders Karela United on 31 points in the first round.
