has it that all is not well in the camp of the ruling New Patriotic Party as
one of their members joined the ancestral world.
Joseph Essien
is born in Nsuta Sekyere Central District in Ashanti Region-Kumasi. He was
confirmed dead early this morning after battling with a short illness. His
death has trembled the heart of the people in the community mourning him in
tears.
Mr. Essien has
been so kind to the people in the community and sub towns around the area
Asuafu, Atwea, Beposo Abonkoso, Kruwi, Abasoa, Gyansa Atonsu, Kwamang, Amoamang
and many more. Due to his kindness as a philanthropist, he is loved by the
people of the community and those in areas around Nsuta.
He was a strong
New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member who has helped the party over the years.
Though he didn’t contest for any position but help the party financially. His
hard work has pulled a lot of followers for the party in the Sekyere central
district, which consists of Nsuta, Kwamang Beposo constituency.
The whole
community has turn upside down as they mourn the death of Mr. Essien. As the
Akan proverbs say “good people don’t live long on the earth”. It is a very
painful death which has cost the community.
He has been supporting all the schools in the communities
with bags, exercise books, pens, pencils. He had also supplied poly-tanks to
the nearby communities that have problems with water and he keeps filling the
tanks for the people to use and have good water to drink.
Not this alone, he always organized a lavish party for widows
in the community every year and also support them with cash, clothes,
foodstuffs, and more. His philosophy is to “put a smile on the face of the
needy”. Because of that, the people in the community keep calling `Smile’ as
his Pseudonym.
He has also been supporting the orphanage home at Asante Mampong and other orphanage homes in Kumasi.
It is very sad
when a good man like this passes on so early. Though death is inevitable, it is
a phase in life everyone will undergo at some point in life. The gap left
behind by our loved ones is usually difficult to be filled but we have to let
them rest in peace.
Mr. Essien died at the age of 52, he left three (3) children,
two girls, and one boy. The cause of his death is not yet revealed but keep
following me as I bring you the updates.
