OFFICIAL: Kotoko Finally Capture Sarfo Taylor

Asante Kotoko has confirmed the signing of former Karela United forward Solomon Sarfo Taylor.

Sarfo Taylor joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-and-a-half-year deal after passing mandatory medicals.

“Solomon Sarfo Taylor is a Porcupine Warrior ⚡️ The lethal forward joins us on a three-and-a-half year deal 📝,” Kotoko announced on Twitter.

Sarfo Taylor who recently returned to Ghana after an unsuccessful trail in Spain comes in to replace Kwame Poku who recently sealed a move to Algerian fold USM Alger.

Taylor has been a long term target for Asante Kotoko. The Porcupine Warriors missed out on signing him in 2018 when they paid GHC50,000 to Karela for his services but the player didn’t show up to seal the move. However, Karela refunded the money to Kotoko.

The 22-year-old joined Danish side Vendsyssel FF from Karela United in 2019 but his contract was mutually terminated in January 2020 due to poor performances.

Sarfo Taylor formed a great partnership with Diawise Taylor for Karela United. The duo powered Karela United to the finals of the Normalization Committee special competition but lost the title to Asante Kotoko.
