There were ugly scenes at the Ohene
Ameyaw Park in the outstanding game week 15 Ghana Premier league fixture between
King Faisal and Asante Kotoko.
The ugly incident transpired between
Asante Kotoko center back Habib Mohammed and head coach Johnson Smith.
Just before referee Samadji Josua Tetteh
brought the first half to an end, coach Johnson Smith to the surprise of many
replaced Habib Mohammed with Kwame Adom Frimpong.
Habib Mohammed who was unhappy with
the substitution walked off the field furiously and nearly attacked coach
Johnson Smith on the touch line.
It took the intervention of his
teammates and some members of the coaching team to calm the situation.
Asante Kotoko won the game 1-0,
Guinean international Naby Keita came off the bench to score the goal.
The club is expected to release a
press statement in the coming hours addressing the unpleasant situation.
