Blues set to capture the signature of Palmeiras midfielder Gabriel Menino

Chelsea are closing in on bringing Palmeiras midfielder Gabriel Menino to Stamford Bridge, according to reports in Brazil.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League club’s in recent weeks, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly positioned themselves in lands the Brazilian star.



However, according to Brazilian radio presenter Paco Belmonte, Palmeiras midfielder Gabriel Menino is a Chelsea player, and the deal has been done for The Blues to sign him this summer.

Meanwhile, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are interest in Brazilian star but both yet to make a move.



Andrien Rabiot linked with Chelsea move

Chelsea are reportedly plotting a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who played under Thomas Tuchel during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 26-year-old came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain and established himself as a regular for club and country before leaving the French champions in 2019 after he refused to sign a new contract with the club.



Rabiot signed for Juventus on a free transfer but the Frenchman has struggled to hit the heights of his PSG days in Turin. He had been in and out of the lineup last season under Maurizio Sarri and even though he has featured more regularly this time out under Andrea Pirlo.

And According to a report from Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Juventus need to raise funds and Rabiot is named as a player who could leave, with Everton and Chelsea said to be interested in his services.



Chelsea are reportedly considering a stunning move to bring Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Blues are keen to bolster their attacking options and owner Roman Abramovich has prioritised the signing of a new centre-forward, despite spending around £53million on Timo Werner last summer.



Dortmund’s striker Erling Haaland, who scored 33 goals across all competitions this season remains Blues’ number one target this summer but should they admit defeat in their bid to land the Norwegian, then Chelsea could turn their attention to Lukaku, who joined Stamford Bridge outfit as an 18-year-old in 2011.


However, according to Corriere Dello Sport, Inter Milan value the forward at €120m (£102m), and it added that the Belgium star enjoying his time in Italy, means his return to Stamford Bridge this summer remains uncertainty.



Moving onto the next eventful mid-week clash against FC Porto in Uefa Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, here is latest injuries concerning this situation of N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.

Abraham’s ankle injury kept him out of contention for Saturday’s Premier League fixture, leaving it increasingly likely that the Englishman will play no part in this game.

At best, the forward will be selected among the replacements after not featuring since February 20.


The American international suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday’s game which forced him to be replaced at half-time.

Pulisic, who opened the scoring for Chelsea by capitalizing Marcos Alonso brilliant free-kick, forced to come off for Mason Mount after hurting his hamstring.

The 22-year-old is doubt for Porto clash as his latest injuries problem likely to take him out for a fee weeks at least.



Having sustained a hamstring injury while on international duty with France, Kante has already been ruled out of Wednesday’s fixture against FC Porto in Uefa Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Although the tireless French midfielder could come back into contention at the weekend, Tuchel will not take any risks ahead of the reverse fixture with Porto.

So, like the aforementioned Abraham, Pulisic and Kante is likely to be out for a few weeks which comes as a major blow to Thomas Tuchel’s & co.

Especially N’Golo Kante, who put in one of his best-ever performances for the Blues in their Champions League second-leg victory over Atletico Madrid recently.
