AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly
put contract talks with the club on hold because of his desire to play in the
Champions League next season.
Donnarumma’s
deal at the San Siro expires in the summer. Discussions over an extension have
been ongoing throughout the season but he is yet to reach an agreement with
the club.
The
shot-stopper, who is a target for Chelsea and Manchester United, is
also said to have halted discussions with Juventus. Football
Italia report that this is because Donnarumma is desperate to play in

Neither
Milan or Juve are guaranteed to qualify for the Champions League.
Milan,
who were top of Serie A earlier in the season, are currently fifth and outside
of the top four on goal difference while Juve occupy the final spot.
However,
both clubs could be overtaken by Lazio, who are only five points behind with a
game in hand.
United
have all-but secured Champions League football for the 2021-2022 campaign while
Chelsea are in a strong position to do so after beating West Ham last weekend.

agent is Mino Raiola (above), who reportedly wants £200,000-a-week
Milan
reportedly set a deadline of May 23 for the goalkeeper to make a
decision on his future after making their final contract offer.
Tuttosport claim Milan
will not offer any higher than £130,000-a-week for the goalkeeper and want an
answer by the final Serie A match of the season away at Atalanta.
The
young goalkeeper is represented by super-agent Mino Raiola – the agent of
Erling Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba – who is reportedly wanting
over £200,000-a-week for his client.
The
22-year-old has been an ever-present for Milan for the past six seasons
and is closing in on 250 appearances for the club.
