A
report from Express disclosed that Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel would
prefer a summer transfer for Kylian Mbappe or Romelu Lukaku over long-time
Chelsea target Erling Haaland.
Chelsea have show interest in signing
Erling Haaland before the arival of Thomas Tuchel, while the competition of
signing the Borussia Dortmund striker is really huge considering the teams
involve, the likes of Real
Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City.
Also italian gaint Juventus was reportedly to have joined the
race few days back. With this huge competition, it can be forcast that the
blues will have to stump up heavy cash and increase their transfer budget this
summer if they want to land the Dortmund Striker.
The 20-years-old Norwegian is currently
in his best form now, his performances for Borussia Dortmund speaks it all and
this is the sole reason why most of Europe’s elite clubs face huge
competition in securing his signature.
Erling Haaland still in contract with Borussia Dortmund
until 2022 but Europe’s biggest clubs are desperately eager to have a deal
including Thomas Tuchel Chelsea’s side who are currently lacking a
complete striker despite Timo Werner's arrival last summer.
Timo Werner is yet to get his best form
since joining the West London club, while Thomas Tuchel seems not to value
Tammy Abraham and 30-years-old Oliver Giroud seems to be too old to cope with
the pressure.
Chelsea are now in need
of a complete striker in Erling Haaland but Thomas
Tuchel would prefer to sign his former player at PSG Kylian Mbappe or Lukaku
instead.
Haaland may become too expensive with time as too many clubs
already waiting, However, Chelsea will prefer going for someone a little cheaper
with the current economic situation surrounding the club of recent.
