Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has named a Chelsea star
and six other strikers in world football that are currently better than him.
According to Haaland, the seven forwards who clearly
outperform him at present are Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, Tottenham’s Harry
Kane, Man City’s Kun Agüero, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Arsenal’s
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Chelsea’s Timo
Werner.
The 20-year-old chose them in an interview with a Norwegian
outlet, the ‘Verdens Gang’.
The
Norway international didn’t choose other attackers of much quality like
Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar because he focused on
those footballers more specialists in the finish.
Among
the notable players not mentioned are Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe,
Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
However,
each of the other five strikers Haaland ranks above himself currently play in
the English Premier League (EPL), while the other two players (Lewandowski and
Ronaldo) play in the Bundesliga and Serie A, respectively.
Meanwhile,
Haaland is currently the highest goal scorer in the Champions League this
season with ten goals.
His
club, Dortmund was eliminated from the Champions League quarter-final stage by
