Szczesny to stay at Juventus

Wojciech Szczesny will not be leaving Juventus this summer. The Serie A giants reportedly wanted to offload the goalkeeper to finance a move for Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Poland international had been linked with a move to Manchester United, but Calciomercato claims there is no way he is leaving Turin.


Haaland’s update

Barcelona and Real Madrid may be priced out of a deal for Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland. The 20-year-old wants a salary of 35m euros (£30m) a year. (Goal)


Modric agrees Real Madrid extension

Luca Modric has reached an agreement with Real Madrid over a new contract. AS reports the Croatia international has committed to the club until 2022 and an official announcement is to be made soon.

Almeria target Villarreal star as replacement for Umar Sadiq

Almeria are preparing for life without their leading scorer in 2020-2021, Umar Sadiq. Indications suggest that the former U23 Nigeria international won’t be a player of The Rojiblancos whether or not they are promoted to the top-tier of Spanish football.

According to Diario de Almería via Madrid-based Spanish newspaper La Razon, Almeria are eyeing a move for Villarreal youngster álex Baena as a replacement for Sadiq. The 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medalist is on the radar of German champions Bayern Munich as well as Sevilla.

Rotherham have handed striker Joshua Kayode a new contract. The 20-year-old, who has come through the club’s academy system, has committed his future to the South Yorkshire club until the summer of 2024.
