It’s happening live as Borussia Dortmund’s goal machine,
Erling Haaland has finally taken a move to complete his signing away from the
German Bundesliga side.
It’s happening, and it’s not even really a secret.
Today we’ve seen video footage of Mino Raiola and Erling
Haaland’s father Alf-Inge in Barcelona and Madrid on a whistle-stop tour of
Europe’s super clubs.
Next
up, according to MundoDeportivo, but also according just to basic
logic, is London.
There they will meet
representatives from Liverpool, the two Manchester clubs… and Chelsea.
This really is a dreamland for
Raiola, who can openly tout his client around town and play the big spenders
off against each other, all without annoying Borussia Dortmund, who knew
exactly what they were signing up for in exchange for the incredible firepower
Haaland has provided them.
Whether Chelsea want to get
involved in the Italian super-agent’s grubby circus is another matter, but such
is Haaland’s talent that it’s apparently worth considering for all these top
teams.
How far the Blues are willing
to go in terms of transfer fee and wages is uncertain after a big-spending
2020, but as they showed last summer, they aren’t afraid to open their wallet
when they think they’re getting good value, no matter the price.
