The Old Lady welcome Napoli to the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday for this Serie A match. This felt like the match that would never happen after 2 postponements and a battle in the courts to overturn Lega Serie A’s decision to award it as a 3-0 win to Juventus.
These sides were originally due to meet in the 3rd week of the
season at the start of October. However, Napoli were ordered not to travel to
Turin by the health authorities due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in their camp.
After a long legal battle, the courts overturned the decision to award the
match to Juve and it was rescheduled instead for 17 March 2021.
The visitors, meanwhile, will look to grab a rare league double over the Bianconeri after securing a 1-0 home win in February’s reverse fixture. Juventus have now gone two games without a win after their shock loss to Benevento was followed by a 2-2 draw against Torino on Saturday.

halves to cancel out Federico Chiesa’s opener and give Toro a 2-1 lead.
However, a 79th-minute strike from Cristiano Ronaldo restored parity for the
Old Lady. Juventus have now dropped to fourth in the Serie A table, 12 points
behind league leaders Inter Milan. A defeat on Wednesday could see them slip
into the Europa League spots.
This season their second Serie A meeting of the season — which is technically the first, but just go with me here — does have plenty on the line. It’s just not what we thought it might come the beginning of the 2020-21 season. Over the course of the last few years, the Juventus-Napoli matchup has usually come with some sort of Scudetto ramifications attached to things. Juve would usually be in first place, with Napoli either trailing behind in second or third and there’d be plenty of riding on the two rivals playing one another no matter who the two manages have been.
