Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is set to reach another milestone for the club if he gets to play against Real Madrid in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old midfield maestro currently has 99
appearances for the Blues and will hit a milestone of 100 games if he features
against Real Madrid.
The English midfielder
has proven pivotal in both Chelsea’s midfield and attack since making his
senior debut for the club back in 2019.
The midfielder was
integrated swiftly into the Chelsea squad by former manager Frank Lampard who
was opportuned to work with him a season earlier at Derby County.
Mason Mount has 29 goal involvements for the Blues across his
99 appearances, scoring 16 and assisting 13 goals.
That’s not a really impressive stat for a an attacking
midfielder, but we cannot deny the impact Mason Mount has on the Chelsea squad
during a game even though he doesn’t get a goal or assist.
