The Spanish
based team battle Chelsea today for the Semis of the UCL in a first encounter
meeting
Real Madrid will
be welcoming Chelsea when
both sides meet at Alfredo Di Stefano tonight.
Due to
reconstructions, Madrid haven’t staged a game at Santiago Bernabeu for month
now as they have been using their alternate stadium.
Los Blancos
hope to extend past the West Londoners with an advantageous victory before
looking to finalize with the second legs.
Chelsea on the
other hand will be hoping to prove their selves after making it to the stage
for the first time since 2014.
Tuchel eyes
a shocker for Zidane as
the German is still in his first spell as Chelsea manager after inheriting the
club halfway from Frank Lampard.
Christian Pulisic was with Tuchel during the press conference yesterday and confirmed he is feeling fully fit as he eyes a starter tonight.
Azpilicueta is a more likely starter too while Silva and Rudiger complete him in a three man defense.
Callum Hudson-Odoi maybe in the wing back role today after seeing his captain take up the duty in their previous game.
Mateo Kovacic failed to make a return to fitness after picking up a hamstring injury during their training lately.
We could still likely see the front three of Mason Mount, Pulisic and Kai Havertz while Ziyech, Timo and Abraham start from the bench.
On the other
hand, Vinicius is a ready starter tonight after stunning Liverpool in the
previous round.
Eden Hazard
returned to action against Real Betis and created most chances than any other
player after spending just 20mins on the pitch.
It’s likely he
could start from the bench but more preferable if he starts alongside Vinicius
and Zidane in a front 3 attack.
Sergio Ramos is
a major doubt for the game tonight over injury worries.
