Despite
Thomas Tuchel’s men produced miserable display against relegation-threatened
Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday evening, but there was a big impression
from Jorginho at Stamford Bridge on that particular night.
The
Italian midfielder, who was paired alongside Mason Mount in middle of park, had
another solid game with three tackles, four interceptions, one clearance and
one blocked shot.
He has
since been one of the best performing players for the Blues on the pitch, and
had another impressive game in the centre of the park.
Jorginho
finished the match with a pass success rate of 94 per cent, and also produced a
sublime bit of skill to ward off the challenge from two Brighton players.
The Blues
moved to fourth place on league standings above West Ham United on goal
difference, but they will be disappointed with the goalless stalemate.
