Thomas Tuchel has never hidden his intention of bringing a
more prolific striker to work with him in Stamford Bridge.
Now, the Blues look set for another splurge in the transfer
market as Thomas Tuchel reshapes his squad with Roman Abramovich’s backing as
pressure mounts on Timo Werner.
Chelsea splashed the cash last summer when they brought in
the likes of Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Timo Werner.
But
it has not gone entirely to plan in the Premier League with Frank Lampard
getting the sack.
Form
has picked up with Thomas Tuchel in charge and they are gunning down a top four
spot and a Champions League trophy.
The
German has several players in mind going into the transfer window this summer
with defenders and attackers being looked at while one man has got to start
taking his chances.
Here
are the latest transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea.
Dybala
swap
Paulo
Dybala has been linked with a move to Chelsea
Chelsea are ready to battle Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Paulo Dybala
this summer, according to reports in Italy.
But
the Blues are ready to muscle in on a deal and swap one of their own players as
well.
According
to Tuttosport, via Top Mercato, one of Jorginho or Emerson Palmieri could be
used in a transfer that would see Dybala move to Stamford Bridge.
The
former Palermo star has been linked with a Premier League switch for a number
of years with Manchester United and Tottenham also linked.
But
with Chelsea in need of a striker, Tuchel is prepared to land the 27-year-old
ahead of his rivals.
Kounde
blow
Chelsea
are keen on signing Jules Kounde
Real
Madrid have made Jules Kounde one of their top transfer targets going into the
summer, according to reports in Spain.
That
will come as an earth shattering blow to Chelsea, who have also eyed the
Sevilla star.
The
Frenchman has a £68m release clause and Zinedine Zidane is keen to bring him in
if Raphael Varane leaves, report Marca, via the Express.
Manchester
United have been linked with the Madrid defender, whose contract expires in
June 2022.
Kounde
has been a standout star in La Liga the past two seasons and has led to strong
interest in his services.
Chelsea
are desperate to bolster their defence and see the 22-year-old as the answer at
the back.
Werner
‘running out of time’
Timo
Werner is low on confidence at Chelsea
Chelsea striker Werner must start doing more to impress Tuchel or risk being
shunted out of the team.
It
comes after reports emerged that the Blues boss wants to bring in Erling
Haaland and Sergio Aguero.
According
to the Evening Standard, Tuchel is keen on bolstering his attack and sees the
two forwards as ideal arrivals.
That
spells bad news for Werner, who has had a tough first season in the Premier
League.
The
former RB Leipzig star was signed with a big reputation but has scored just
five goals in the league.
He
has been dropped for the last two matches and the 25-year-old is battling for a
spot ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup showdown with Manchester City.
