German coach Thomas
Tuchel had just his First loss as Chelsea Manager in a tight match against West
Bromwich Albion this afternoon at The Bridge.
Tuchel trusted the line-up for the game but it proved wrong
as Chelsea's side lost to The Baggies.
“I trusted this
line-up and I thought the line-up was strong enough to win this game.” – Tuchel
Tuchel admitted Chelsea game play to be slow and not
energetic as it had been before the international break.
“We did not do well to adapt to our
positions and the pressure and we gave way easily.” – Tuchel
The Boss pointed that Chelsea had lots of chances but could
not deliver goals
“We had big chances
and we were again not precise enough and we missed a lot of opportunities to
finish this game early…” – Tuchel
Tuchel also stated the Chelsea side today could not play
along with 1-man down on the squad.
“We were not able today to adapt to one
man down and there’s absolutely no need to concede five goals if you are one
man down…”
He clearly rated the defence to slack in the game giving
spaces for goals.
