Chelsea lock horns with the Hammers today as both sides hope to extend points in the top 4 zone.
Both Chelsea and
West Ham are all at par points and fighting for a top 4 finish.
West Ham hoping
to have a test of the UEFA Champions League while
Chelsea fighting for a backup incase they don’t succeed in lifting the current
trophy.
A disappointing
draw against Brighton in the previous week made today’s game tagged ‘very
important’ fixture as a loss would have West Ham United overtake Blues.
Chelsea only
lead the side on the table with goal difference and hope to add points to it
when they travel to London Stadium today.
It’s clearly not
going to be an easy derby game for Thomas Tuchel and his men considering the
current form Moyes have managed to place West Ham at amid the arrival of Jesse Lingard who
has manage from net 9 goals in appearances.
But sadly for
Moyes, the English man is a doubt for the game tonight after picking a knock
against Newcastle and was ushered out of the pitch before the end of the game
as they were stunned with a 3-2 loss.
Chelsea have
only Matteo Kovacic on the sideline while the rest of the squad remain fit.
Christian
Pulisic is also fit for the game as he eyes for more fitness when the side will
battle Real Madrid for the UCL semis on Wednesday.
Tammy Abraham
has been left out of game but Tuchel claims he loves the striker’s reaction and
spirit to keep working hard despite being strangely fizzled out of the front
page.
Kepa secured a
clean sheet against Brighton with key saves while Mendy was handed a rest and
it’s likely the Spaniard will get a second start today while Mendy eye a Los
Blancos show.
Thomas Tuchel seems to have cracked his front as he has been
seen featuring a front three comprising mostly of Mason Mount, Pulisic and Kai
Havertz.
While back up
comes as Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount, but hopefully Tammy Abraham
substitutes Mount in this second set up while Ziyech and Werner take both
flanks.
