The return leg of the Women’s Champions League quarter-final
game between Rosengard Women and Bayern Munich took centre stage with much
expectations from Rosengard to reply the first-leg deficit.
Without doubt, even on paper, it was going to be a clash of the
Titans just the way it went. Rosengard were the better side in the early minúte
of the game with loads of offensive play to reduce their first leg 3-0 deficit.
Bayern Munich Women pushed through the tough Rosengard midfield to penetrate their defence as Lea Schuller put the visitors a goal ahead of the host.
However, Bayern Munich goal changed the tempo of the game as
Rosengard became wounded lionesses with lot of aggression and long-range shots.
To no avail, the first 45 minutes ended in Bayern Munich women’s favour as they
build on confidence.
The 2nd half showdown wasn’t meant to be much tactical based
on Rosengard’s style of trying to score a goal to change the face of the
encounter but Baryern Munich women maintained a well-sealed defence to end the
much “Power Anticipated” game in their favor.
As coordinated Rosengard Women Played it’s definitely the
opposite of the scoreline. The German side, Bayern Munich qualified by 0-4 on
aggregates to contend another silverware this season.
Bayern
Munich Women will Face Chelsea Women while Barcelona Plays the Winner between
the French Feminine Teams of PSG or defending Champions Olympic Lyonnais.
Going by their Style of play, would you pen Baryern Women
down as favourites?
