Bad news for Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea have suffered another major injury worry ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City which is set to go down on the 29th.
It was a
frantic afternoon for Chelsea who narrowly picked a Champions League ticket on
the final matchday of the season. Chelsea lost to Aston Villa but still
qualified as Leicester City were also beaten by Tottenham.
To compound
the woes for Thomas Tuchel’s side, goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy was replaced at
halftime by second choice Kepa after he looked to have picked up a knock.
Ngolo Kante is
another player who risks missing the showdown after picking a knock also
against Leicester a few days ago.
Mendy and
Kante are two key players of this Chelsea side, and not having them in the
final will be a big blow to Thomas Tuchel.
So Chelsea
fans, after seeing today’s performance, do Chelsea stand a chance against
Manchester City come the 29th of May?
