Chelsea hosted Leicester City in the premier league last night and got all three points after beating Brendan Rogers men 2-1 to move up to 3rd position.
The match was
a must win for the blues as they look at featuring at the UEFA Champions League
next season.
Goals from
Antonio Rudiger and a penalty from Jorginho gave Thomas Tuchel’s men all three
points in a much intense match. Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho came
off the bench to pull one back for the visitors.
Despite the
win, Chelsea were hit with a big blow as inform midfielder, N’Golo Kante was
unable to finish the match due to injury in the 32nd minute. He was replaced by
Mateo Kovacic.
This is a Bad
News for the blues as the French midfielder has been in great form for
Thomas Tuchel’s side this season. The Blues lost to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge
when the 30 year old French man was absent from the team.
The Blues have
four days to prepare for their final league game against Aston Villa on Sunday,
while there’s 10 days until their Champions League final with Manchester City.
