Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided fitness updates on three key stars. This comes after the blues lost the FA Cup final to Leicester City on Saturday.
The duo of Andreas
Christensen and Mateo Kovacic did not feature in the FA Cup final. This raised
question marks over their fitness level as the club prepares to take on Man
City in the Champions League final later this month.
Thomas Tuchel provided an
update on the two stars. He said “when Kova and Andreas Christensen, maybe,
come back into the squad, I need to figure out the squad and maybe eliminate
two more players”.
This entails that the two stars will be back
in the starting line up any time from now. Maybe the coach is resting them
ahead of the crucial Champions League final clash against Man City.
Summer signing Edouard Mendy was benched for
the FA Cup final on Saturday. However, it is believed that he has not suffered
an injury and will replace Kepa in the subsequent starting line up.
