Pep Guardiola has sent a warning message to Chelsea, ahead of their Champions League final clash to determine which team will be winning the cup.
Ahead of the
Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester City on May 29,
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists he has an incredibly good feeling
about the game.
Manchester
City have never been champions of Europe before but Guardiola is confident
ahead of the game against Chelsea.
“When you arrive at the final
of the Champions League it’s an incredible success,” Guardiola said.
“It helps a lot to have already won the Premier
League and Carabao Cup. It’s been a good season but of course, it’s not enough
right now.
“I have an incredibly good feeling that we will do
well and we’ll play a good game in the final. We will arrive in the correct way
to be competitors and enjoy the moment.”
Tuchel told board to sign £90m player Lampard tried to sign
According to The Telegraph, the Blues will renew
interest for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this summer.
Rice, who was released by Chelsea’s academy at the
age of 14, is one of the most coveted young players in Europe after superb
recent form for the Hammers and England.
The West Ham midfielder was a key transfer target
for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea last summer but a move failed to materialise.
Chelsea refused to pay West Ham’s valuation of
£70million for Rice, with Lampard’s insistence on the deal causing friction
with club chiefs, who felt an expensive move for someone they had previously
released would be embarrassing.
It was believed a move for Rice was over following
the arrival of Thomas Tuchel in January but the German is said to rate the
22-year-old highly and will recommend him as one of several players he wants
the club to sign this summer.
Premier League rivals Manchester United and
Manchester City are also interested in signing the West Ham midfielder but it
is believed Rice prefers a move to Chelsea.
West Ham demanded £70million for Rice last summer
but it is believed to have risen to £90million after another impressive season
for West Ham.
