The 23-year-old was shockingly snubbed as Chelsea lost 1-0 to Leicester City at Wembley
Tammy
Abraham continued his lack of game time under Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea suffered a disappointing loss to Leicester City on Saturday.
The Blues
failed to convert chances with the most significant attempt of theirs coming
from a Mason Mount super shot that was kept away from the net by a brilliant
Leicester Goalkeeping skill.
Kepa
Arrizabalaga wasn’t brilliant enough to prevent a similar strike from Youri
Tielemans from handing the Foxes the desired lead.
Timo
Werner was awful as Giroud coming on also didn’t solve the striking
woes from Blues.
This in
some way alarms Tuchel on
the importance of reinstating Tammy Abraham into his starting line up.
Abraham
has remained Chelsea’s lead scorer despite getting fewer chances than Timo
Werner who has wasted most of his chances.
In
response to the loss yesterday, Abraham took to his social media pages to
share;
‘It hurts
but we still have unfinished business. Thank you for your support, good to have
you back ‘
Chelsea will have to make up with the UCL clash
ahead as Abraham hopes to be included back into the games.
