-Chelsea Contacts Bayern Munich striker

Chelsea have reportedly ‘made contact’ with Robert Lewandowski as Thomas Tuchel looks to resolve his striker problems. The Bayern Munich star is the latest forward to be linked with Chelsea, who are on the search for a goalscorer with boss Tuchel running out of patience with the struggling Timo Werner. Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku are both being touted for possible switches to Stamford Bridge this summer while Harry Kane is also being considered after he handed in a transfer request at Tottenham.

But Tuchel is now said to have turned his attentions to 32-year-old Lewandowski, who has been prolific again this season with an astonishing 47 goals from 39 games. Sky Sports Germany claim Chelsea have already sounded out the Bayern Munich striker about a summer move, with the striker, believed to be considering his future at Bayern. Chelsea have notably struggled for goals this season with midfielder Jorginho their top scorer in the Premier League with seven, which have all come from the penalty spot. Although Lewandowski has been identified as one of Chelsea’s main options, their transfer chief Marina Granovskaia faces a huge battle to convince him to join with the striker understood to be favouring a move to Spin over the Premier League.

-Arsenal are stepping up their interest in Norwich playmaker Emiliano Buendia.

Arsenal have intensified their pursuit of Emiliano Buendia as they look to replace Martin Odegaard, who is set to return to Real Madrid this summer. The Gunners have been long-term admirers of Buendia and were credited with an interest last summer but never made the move. However, after tracking the winger’s progress at Carrow Road and witnessing his impressive form this season, Mikel Arteta is eager to add him to his ranks. According to Goal, Arsenal’s technical director Edu has started to step up the club’s interest in Buendia and labelled him as their primary target for this summer’s transfer window.

However, the Gunners are yet to make an official offer for the Norwich City playmaker. The 24-year-old has enjoyed an exceptional season and played a major role in Norwich winning the Championship and earning promotion back into the Premier League. Buendia scored 14 goals this season and registered 17 assists – more than any other player in the division. He also created more big chances and completed more through balls and passes in the final third than any other player in the Championship this season.

However, to acquire Buendia’s services, Arsenal will be required fork out around £40 million for the attacking midfielder – who has three years remaining on his contract at Norwich.
